da poker: Leeds United have been nothing short of terrible lately.
da fazobetai: The Whites have won just two of their last 10 games, and they’ve failed to score in three of their last four matches.
If you only looked at social media, you’d think that the one man responsible for their recent woes is Patrick Bamford as fans slam him on Twitter on almost a weekly basis.
However, one former United player believes that the blame lies elsewhere, rather than just at Bamford’s feet.
What’s been said then?
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink was talking about the lack of goals from elsewhere in the squad on Sky Sports’ coverage of Nottingham Forest vs Leeds.

“That is the problem I think, that is the big problem, the other players not chipping in,” Hasselbaink said (Sky Sports Main Event (8/2/20 8PM).
“You know Bamford, everyone is talking about Bamford, but it’s not just Bamford. It is the wide players, it’s the centre-halves who have to chip in with goals.
“Klich last year was scoring left, right and centre, and it’s just not happening, and that for me is a big issue.”
Both big problems
Hasselbaink is right about other players needing to chip in more, but it would be extremely naive to say that Bamford isn’t a huge problem.
The striker is massively underperforming his xG, and he’s missed a huge number of goal scoring opportunities throughout the season.
The highest scorer behind Bamford is Jack Harrison with five so it’s clear there is a need for more goals from elsewhere. However, the numbers show that the system is centred around creating chances for the number nine, and he simply isn’t taking them.
Both things need to improve sooner rather than later, and the Yorkshire club needs to find a solution.
In other news, our writers have been weighing up whether or not this 123-cap star would be a good signing for Leeds.
