da marjack bet: Southampton were held to a 1-1 draw by Huddersfield Town at St Mary’s on Saturday, and Saints fans weren’t impressed with Maya Yoshida’s performance.
da casino: Mauricio Pellegrino’s men came into the clash against the Terriers without a win in five Premier League matches, and with Virgil van Dijk left out of the squad as he edges closer to a January exit, Yoshida partnered Wesley Hoedt at the heart of the back four.
Charlie Austin’s first-half goal had given the south coast outfit the lead, but Yoshida failed to mark Laurent Depoitre after the break and the Belgian striker scored his free header.
The Japan international did come close to getting the three points for his team when his late header hit the post, but it was another disappointing day for Pellegrino and his players.
Southampton supporters were quick to have their say on the 29-year-old’s display via social media, and while one described him as “barely Championship standard”, another simply said “never start Yoshida”.
