da brdice: Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has spoken of his frustration at dropping points at Fulham, as his side were pegged back to 2-2 after being 2-0 up.
A Sergio Aguero double gave the visitors what looked like a decisive advantage, but strikes from Bobby Zamora and Danny Murphy saw spoils shared at Craven Cottage.
With the Eastlands outfit in a commanding position, Mancini feels his side should have won the game.
“I think we thought the game was finished. In the Premier League, the game is never finished. And the problem was that we were so tired after the Champions League in midweek, but if you score two goals and you’re winning 2-0, I think it’s important to control the game,” he told Sky Sports.
The Italian coach feels that his side could and should have scored more than the two goals they got, and has blamed injuries for his lack of substitutions late in the fixture.
“We don’t have many players in the middle of the park. We have just Yaya (Toure) and Gareth (Barry), so if I had other players, I would have made the changes. We have too many injuries in that area.
“The first half, when we dominated the game, we should have scored more than one goal. We are frustrated because when you are winning 2-0, you expect to take all three points,” he finished.
