According to a report by Football Insider, West Ham United lodged a third bid for exciting young Rangers forward Kai Kennedy before he signed for Dunfermline on loan.
The Lowdown: West Ham make offers for Kennedy…
The Athletic detailed West Ham’s interest in Kennedy recently and shared that the club had offers knocked back by the SPFL champions for his services.
Kennedy has blown figures at Ibrox away with his ability, including Gers boss Steven Gerrard, who labelled him a ‘fabulous little player’.
His agent even confirmed the Hammers’ fondness and that offers had been made, going on to confirm West Ham were ‘very keen’ on the teenage attacker (The Daily Mail)
The Latest: West Ham lodge another bid…
As per Football Insider, West Ham lodged a third bid for Kennedy, in excess of £1 million, before the youngster signed for Dunfermline on a season-long loan.

David Moyes allegedly holds Kennedy in high esteem and thinks he is an ‘extremely exciting’ young talent who could thrive south of the border – and was believed to have ‘thrown his weight’ behind the offer.
Rangers had rejected two previous bids, and as the winger links up with Dunfermline boss Peter Grant for 2021/2022, it seems as if they didn’t accept West Ham’s follow up attempt.
The Verdict: Move on…
West Ham’s £1m bid certainly was a statement of intent to land Kennedy, but with no new signings at senior level yet, we believe the club should now be making more important moves.
The 19-year-old has been described as a player who ‘excites people’ by former Inverness manager John Robertson, and while that may be the case, West Ham have already snapped up a plethora of young stars this summer in Armstrong Oko-Flex, Thierry Nevers and Pierre Ekwah Elimby (football.london).
Moyes needs to swiftly move on and start to bolster his squad at senior level.
